Carbon Offsetting

With our carbon management partners, Carbon Clear, the carbon footprint of Energy Solutions will be calculated and offset to make it a carbon neutral event.

To do this, data about the direct and indirect energy use at the event along with the visitor and exhibitor travel information will be used to calculate a carbon footprint.

To achieve carbon neutrality, Carbon Clear will retire the equivalent number of carbon offsets credits from a Biomass Cogeneration Plant project in São Paulo, Brazil. The credits from this project are verified by the Voluntary Carbon Standard.

Carbon Clear and the Energy Solutions team chose this project for the social benefits it provides to the local community, including carbon-free electricity and employment and training.
